MERITUS MANDARIN

Challenge:
To create something out of the box setting Meritus apart from all other hotels. Also trying to fuse modern with tradition in a clever way.

Idea:
Creating a series of ads using traditional art in a modern setting.

How we did this:

We created prints fusing traditional Chinese art in a hotel setting. The paintings were specifically created to fit each scenario seamlessly.

They were strategically placed in a modern hotel environment to showcase tradition. By doing this we told consumers that Meritus offers a combination
of Asian traditions and modern hospitality in their signature style. Treating you like royalty or making you feel as important as a general in command.

My Role:

Coming up with ideas, setting the look and feel and presenting to the clients. Sitting down with the artist to explain the look
and feel of the paintings. Sharing the idea with the photographer and his team.

Idea:

The Meritus Touch.

Rationale:

The Meritus Touch represents many things.

• The warmth of Asian hospitality.

• The meticulous craft of an artisan.

• And the attention to detail of a modern professional.

 

We bring all these qualities together in a TVC which shows the Meritus Touch
applied to cuisine, comfort, décor and service.

 

We use artfully composed close-ups and the Meritus ambassador to bring
this to life in an evocative way.
